Know that you stand at higher risk of succumbing to your cravings to eat unhealthy foods if you skip your breakfast, plus be reminded that eating breakfast is the fuel that can give you power through the day.

Another guideline to control weight when you stop smoking is to stay hydrated. We should target to drink around two liters of water every day, and by doing so, you will avoid feeling hungry.

To take the place of smoking, our next tip is that you chew gum so that you will be distracted from craving cigarettes and stop your appetite. You may be one of those who are experiencing nicotine withdrawal symptoms, and so to satisfy yourself, you can take instead a nicotine gum.

Another guideline that we can offer is you add on your diet plan an exercise regime to avoid gaining weight after you quit smoking. It is a fact that having an exercise regime would help you in your cravings after you stopped smoking, plus it is great for your mind, will help relieve your irritability, stress and anxiety and other negative effects of cutting off cravings.

Our next advice is to get the support from your friends and families so you can quit smoking and avoid gaining weight in the process, and one of these ways is to join you in your exercise routine, or check out on your grocery list for healthy foods instead of the bad ones.
